United Business Technologies Partners with Blessings in a Backpack

United Business Technologies (UBT) has partnered with Blessings in a Backpack to fill 50 backpacks full of food each week for the next three years. The backpacks will provide weekend meals to students who qualify for the federally-funded National School Lunch Program at South Lake Elementary School in Gaithersburg, MD.  Through this program, UBT will contribute $50 for every copier sold from December 1st, 2016 to November 30th, 2019.

Blessings in a Backpack is a nonprofit that works with volunteers across the country to collect and package backpacks full of food, distributing them each Friday to students who qualify.

Copier Question: Color or No Color?

A successful company is built on good decisions. A lot of those decisions have to do with paper and ink--and one of the biggest decisions that any company has to make is how to organize its fleet of printers and copiers. Although the focus is mostly on printers, copiers deserve attention too; after all, in order for a copier to be beneficial to workflow, we first must decide between color copies or black and white copies.

Choosing the Best Multifunction Printer

Every company has thousands of moving parts. The success of the company is wholly reliant on how these moving parts work together and complement one another--so it's important to keep the "machine" well-oiled. For example, employees have to be cooperating, communicating, and collaborating both efficiently and reliably. Information has to flow smoothly from Point A to Point B, and sometimes even from Point A to Point Z. Clients have to be respected and appreciated, not simply tolerated.

Leasing Copiers and MFPs in Maryland

Looking for a new copier or multi-functional printer (MFP)? Make sure you look at all of the options available, specifically when it comes to buying or leasing. Many people think that they have to purchase equipment, but that is simply not true, and leasing offers so many advantages.

Easy Ways to Revamp Your Home Office

For many people working from home seems like a dream. They envision typing away from their home office while wearing pajamas and petting their dog. And, while this may be real, there are still some downsides to working from home, especially if you lack a dedicated home office. For example, my home office also serves as my husband's office, an occasional guest room, and an animal lounge area. So, what are some ways to be more productive (and less distracted) when working from home? Let's take a look.

Copiers Washington DC: Simplify Complicated Document Security

Is your business secure? You probably think, yes. But, ask yourself this: are your documents secure? Not so sure now, are you? For your business to truly be safe from attacks, your documents must be secure, particularly in today's digital age of over-sharing.

Putting Systems in Place

An article in S.C. Magazine states that "Effective security is only established and maintained through people, processes, and technologies working in concert. Security needs to be proactive, rather than reactive." So, how do you accomplish that? Here are some tips:

Is a Wide Format Printer Right for You?

What is a Wide Format Printer?

Wide or large format printers are much bigger than standard office printers. They can range in size anywhere from 18" to 100" and support large print jobs, such as printers and banners. WFPs are still computer controlled like traditional office printers, but are better suited for businesses with graphic-specific needs.

Productivity Tips: Low Supply Alerts

What is your idea of productivity? It may seem like a straightforward question, but in reality, "productivity" looks a little different to all of us. Take a moment to imagine the most productive day possible. Is everyone at their desks and working? Are phones ringing nonstop? Are file cabinets overflowing with the info for brand-new customers who just discovered your company today? No matter what productivity looks like to you, there are certain things that must be done in order to achieve that high level of success and efficiency.
