Meet our employee, Ralph Jenkins

Hometown: Washington, DC

Tell us a little about yourself: In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, watching TV, traveling, shooting pool as a sport, competitive bowling with friends, and spending quality time with family.  I also have a love for pets, especially my Schnauzer named Allison a.k.a “Allie”.  

Years at UBT: I've spent the last 11 years in the position of UBT DC Field Technician servicing customers in the DC area providing top-notch customer service.

What do you like most about working at UBT: I enjoy working with the fun, outgoing, and diverse staff at UBT as well as what UBT has to offer for promotional opportunities for their staff.  My continual drive to have a deep tech industry knowledge has proven my reputation for the company as well as embracing the company’s core values, goals, integrity, innovation, and growth. I continue to maintain a professional style for myself as I continue to develop in my career goals, personal interest, and the need to help and serve UBT customers.  My commitment to lead and focus on long-term goals as well as my career success makes me a professional role model and mentor for UBT.
 

Meet our employee, John Dayton

Hometown: Hagerstown, MD

Tell us a little about yourself: I live in Hagerstown Maryland with my wife Katie and 17 year old daughter Kayleigh. My son AJ will begin this fall as a Junior at Frostburg. I have lived in Maryland all of my adult life, with time spent in Damascus, Poolesville, Germantown, New Market, and Frederick. My life is filled with many hobbies, as I keep snakes, I have fenced and coached fencing competitively, I have also been playing bass guitar for many years.

Years at UBT: I have worked at UBT for a total of 8 years.

Position at UBT: Smart Print Coordinator/ITT payables/Fax Com Admin (2012 Operations Employee of the Year)

What do you like most about working at UBT: I really enjoy the great people who work for this company. Everyone works hard, but are so much fun to be around.

Interesting Fact: I lead a group to successfully change the laws of Frederick, MD to allow small flocks of backyard chickens. I was in the newspaper, on the radio, and on TV for it.

Meet our employee, Katherine Bauer

Hometown: Bloomfield Hills, MI (Metro Detroit)

Tell us a little about yourself: I moved to Virginia with my husband and our dog, Blue in 2013.  Since moving here, I have been told I have an accent (which I still don’t believe) and often get asked if I am from Minnesota.  I have a twin brother that is 13 minutes older than me.  I am a huge hockey fan and a diehard Red Wings fan.  My husband and I enjoy camping from early spring to late fall.

Position at UBT: Project Manager

What do you like most about working at UBT: What I like most about working at UBT is how much I have grown personally, as well as professionally.  I have enjoyed the challenges and rewards of working in several facets of the company: reception, finance, product trainer and now project manager.  I have learned so much about UBT and have made many friends along the way.  I am grateful for the opportunity to expand my knowledge and increase my skillset.

Interesting Fact: I can start a campfire with just one match and birch bark thanks to working as a Camp Counselor during my summer breaks while in college. 

Meet our employee, Drema Henderson

Hometown: Remlik, Virginia (home of the Urbanna Oyster Festival)  a small country town below Tappahannock in Virginia 

Tell us a little about yourself: I have lived in Maryland for 28 years and moved here for work.  Just recently got married again (7 months ago) to Robert who I have known for over 13 years. I am a mother of a sophomore honor student in college (my pride and joy) and have known Armen, Dale and Doris for over 28 years. I enjoy reading and spending time with my family and friends when I am not trying to get  in my exercise. :)  I enjoy learning new things and setting challenges and goals for myself to meet or overcome.

What do you like most about working at UBT: The people make it fun and enjoyable.  We are all a big happy family!

Interesting Fact: I started out my career as a copier technician andwas hired by Mike Stilwell in 1989.  I originally worked on copiers for about 5 years.

Meet our employee, Sharon Brent

Hometown: Frederick, MD

Tell us a little about yourself: I began working at UBT a little over 9 years ago as the VA Contracts Representative.  I’ve enjoyed the challenges faced in a busy office and fortunate enough to work with the best in the business.  I am proud of my accomplishments and strive to learn more each day. I believe with hard work and perseverance you can achieve anything you set your mind to accomplish.

Position at UBT: Contracts Billing Manager

What do you like most about working at UBT: It’s humbling to work for a company that is passionate about community service and encourages our participation. The family like atmosphere is unique to UBT and I believe what encourages their employees to excel at the highest levels.

Interesting Fact: I am a science nerd but even more than that I love to slip on my ballet shoes and dance away my stress.
