The health and well-being of our customers, employees, and communities is our top priority.

We understand the concern and uncertainty you may be experiencing surrounding coronavirus (COVID-19) and we are committed to being responsive to our customers and employees as the situation continues to evolve.

We are working closely with our in-house staff and technical team to ensure they are protecting themselves as well as others.  We have implemented the following procedures:

  • Employee Health: Any UBT employee experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or who has encountered an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19 is instructed to self-quarantine for 14-days and to contact their healthcare provider with any questions about active symptoms, transmission, and next steps to receive a test/care.
  • Hand Hygiene and Handwashing:  All our technicians have been provided gloves and we strongly recommend the gloves to be worn when working on equipment. We have also reinforced that all our staff diligently wash their hands for at least 20 seconds and if hand washing is unavailable, to use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol throughout the day.
  • Temperature Check:  All employees are required to have their temperature taken daily before entering their workspace. If an employee has a temperature they will be asked to go home and self-isolate.
  • Face Covering:  All UBT employees are required to wear face covering while in the office or performing work duties.
  • Physical Distancing:  All UBT employees are instructed not to gather in groups and to stay at least 6 feet (about 2 arms’ length) from others who are not in their household in both indoor and outdoor spaces.
  • Sanitation and cleanliness:
    • Employees are required to clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily.
    • Due to the shared utilization of office equipment, UBT recommends equipment sanitization be handled in the following way:
      • Disinfectant wipes are the preferred method to clean the copier/printer screen and surfaces. (Please make sure the wipe is not dripping wet or it could damage the device.)
      • Please DO NOT use hand sanitizer, disinfectant spray, or soap to clean the screen or device.  These products can damage or interfere with the device operations.
      • If a service call is placed and a technician comes on-site, they will bring products to clean and wipe down the device prior to and post service call.
  • Remote Assistance: Due to customers interacting with our on-site technicians, UBT has increased phone support to assist with over-the-phone Technical Support.  We will still have on-site technicians operating as usual but offer this as additional support and an extra safeguard for our team and clients.
  • Building Management:
    • Building management will provide daily sanitization in common areas and has provided additional hand sanitizers in lobby and extra daily cleanings and sanitization of restrooms.
    • If a UBT employee is diagnosed with COVID-19, building management will be notified immediately.

Using good judgement is essential to the health and well-being of all our employees and customers. We will continue to monitor this situation and will update the above as we learn more.
